UTCE Get Involved

Thank you for your interest in a leadership position with the Utah Council of Educators.

UTCE leadership is currently working to identify those educators who can fill critical needs within the organization. Connectors, School Managers, Area Managers, and District Managers are needed to guide the development activities of each school district's UTCE membership network.

  • Connectors - these educators are involved with the promotional efforts of UTCE within and outside their school building. Connectors simply introduce UTCE to other educators who currently have no representation or who are looking for representative options.
  • School Managers - these educators are involved in strengthening the UTCE membership network within their specific school building. They work closely with Connectors to increase and sustain membership within the building.
  • Area Managers - these educators are involved in strengthening the UTCE membership network within a high school feeder system. They interface with School Managers to create a cohesive feeder network.
  • District Managers - these educators are involved in managing the UTCE efforts within an entire school district. District Managers are instrumental in cultivating a strong and highly functioning UTCE management team within their respective districts. District managers will be selected from a group of applicants and will receive a small monthly stipend because of the time demands of this position.

UTCE managers will be instrumental in creating and sustaining the organizational infrastructure within each school district. UTCE membership is expected to grow steadily through 2012 and a solid communication network is necessary to provide optimal support for our member teachers.
