UTCE Educator Scholarship Awards
The Utah Council of Educators is committed to supporting the efforts of exceptional educators both inside and outside the classroom. UTCE is pleased to announce its annual Educator Scholarship Award Program for the 2010-2011 school year. At the beginning of each school year, up to ten awards worth up to $500 each are presented to outstanding Utah educators.
Award recipients choose how to best use scholarship money to advance their professional careers. Educator scholarship awards may be used to cover a wide variety of expenses including tuition, books, classroom materials, professional conferences and workshops, registration fees, or travel related expenses to attend professional development activities.
The application process is simple and brief:
Each candidate will submit a short online application form explaining how these scholarship funds will help advance his or her own professional career. Applicants will also be asked to describe how this award will benefit the children they work with. The application deadline for Educator Scholarship Awards is October 30th of each school year. Award recipients will be notified within two weeks of the application deadline.
We regret not being able to provide scholarships to every worthy applicant. To ensure that each educator is provided a greater chance of being considered for an award, scholarship recipients may not apply again within the next three school years.
